Foundation Raises $5,500

On Thursday October 23rd, The Foundation hosted its first ever Gala to celebrate 50 years of Aztec Rugby. The event took place at the Bahia hotel and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Guest speakers included the head coach, Dan Payne, as well as President of The Aztec Rugby Foundation, David Crist. Other speakers included Rich Wagner a member of the first ever Aztec Rugby team and Bruce Kelm, parent of two current Aztec Rugby players. David Crist, Foundation president stated, “that it was impressive to see at least one alumnus from every era of Aztec Rugby over the last 50 years in attendance..." The Foundation would like to thank all who participated to make this such a successful event. Through new Legacy 100 memberships, meal donations and a live auction the Foundation raised more than $5000.00.
